Pilgrim's Update Day 286 #fromheretojerusalem , walking from West Cork to Jerusalem with a harp on your back.

It's new to leave Belgrade. Boki has picked up half of my stuff so I can have an easy day's walk. I say goodbye and set off towards Ripanj. Suburbs and mud, from the rain into the sun shine. We're on our way again.

Anja Bakker

Harpist, writer, singer, story teller and performance artist who had v carried her harp on for from Clonakilty in West Cork to Santiago de Compostela in 2010 and from West Cork to Rome in 2018.


Sean the Harp:

Dusty Strings Ravenna 26, weighs 7kg and is tied to an old Swedish army backpack frame in a Dusty Strings Deluxe Bag (all together just over 10kg).


Jerry the stick:

One piece Hazel Pilgrims staff with Art work by Julie Sharpe in pyrography (burning) depicting the pilgrim on the road all of the other work is by Michael Walsh. The stick comes from Michael's dad's homepage in Connemara. The silver scallop shell was blessed in Holycross Abbey and the insert is a piece of the Naomhóg na Tinte or The Naomhóg of Tents as in the Naomhóg na Gobnait from the documentary 'The Camino Voyage', in memory of the crew and in particular the loss of Danny Sheehy in 2017 who was the skipper of the Naomhóg
